Twilio is the reference implementation for programmable messaging and contracts through Twilio Australia Pty Ltd. Signup is genuinely self-serve — trial credit, an API key and a sent message in minutes — and the documentation remains the best in the category. Australian list pricing is roughly double what local resellers charge, MMS to Australian handsets is not supported, and the volume discounts that would close the gap are reachable only through sales.
