Squarespace acquired Google Domains in 2023 and migrated the customer base onto its own platform. The result is a calm, flat-priced registrar, one price at registration and renewal, WHOIS privacy included, a short curated TLD list and no upsell theatre. It is roughly double Cloudflare for the same .com, and the product exists to feed Squarespace's site builder rather than to compete on domain price.

**Verdict.** The least irritating of the expensive registrars, and where most former Google Domains customers ended up by inertia. Flat pricing and no upsell theatre, but you are paying a site-builder company's margin on a commodity.
