E2B raises a $21M Series A
Insight Partners led a $21M Series A into E2B, the open-source sandbox provider most agent frameworks default to. It funds the Apache-licensed self-hostable core that is E2B's main structural advantage over the closed platforms chasing it on boot time.

AWS previews S3 Vectors
Amazon added native vector storage and similarity search to S3 as a preview, positioning the bucket itself as a low-cost vector store. Nothing comparable exists on any other provider in this roster, and it is the clearest recent example of what the AWS premium actually buys.

AWS free tier rework removes the old always-free SES allowance
Amazon's free tier moved to a credit-based model for new accounts, and SES's long-standing always-free grant of 62,000 messages a month from EC2-hosted applications is no longer how the allowance works. Anyone who architected around it should re-check the bill. The exact effective date has not been re-verified by toolweight.

Cognition acquires Windsurf after the OpenAI deal collapses
An OpenAI acquisition fell through, Google licensed the technology and hired the leadership, and Cognition bought what remained. Windsurf and Devin ended up under one owner inside a fortnight — the sharpest reminder that harness vendors are not stable ground.

Australian SMS Sender ID Register obligations shift
Australia's SMS Sender ID Register regime moved on from the earlier voluntary industry pilot, changing what senders and carriage service providers must do before an alphanumeric sender ID will reliably deliver. This entry is deliberately imprecise: the commencement timetable and the exact obligations are not confirmed here, and vendor documentation across this roster lags the regulator. Confirm current requirements with ACMA directly before acting.
